Minimalist Baby Registry Checklist

When I became pregnant with Baby Woz, I had NO IDEA what I was going to need for baby. I don’t think I had ever done so much research in my life. However, I’m thankful for family and Pinterest for giving me pointers. After Baby Woz turned two, I felt confident that I could put together a simple and minimalist baby registry to give the same helpful information to other new moms, along with the experience I’ve gained in figuring out what is truly essential for baby. So, here’s my minimalist baby essentials checklist that will show you what you REALLY need for baby.

This baby registry checklist is designed to simplify creating your baby registry. It focuses on the essentials so that you can make sure you’ll use and love what’s on your registry.

ABOUT THE BABY REGISTRY CHECKLIST:

  • MINIMAL: This checklist is as minimalist as possible. This covers the essentials without adding items that you might never use. There were items that we received from friends and family that we never used or only used once. Now those particular items sit in our attic or we regifted if we never used them.

  • ALL YOU NEED: This list covers absolutely EVERYTHING – from diapering to feeding to bath time & more. It’s designed to be all you need in one easy checklist without asking for things you don’t need.

HOW TO USE THE BABY REGISTRY GUIDE

Above you can download a PDF version of the checklist. Print it out or save it on your computer for easy reference. When setting up your registry, use this list as a guide for what to register for first.

WHEN SHOULD YOU START YOUR BABY REGISTRY?

You can start your baby registry as soon as you would like! For your first few weeks of pregnancy you might have other things on your mind, but once you’re into your second trimester you should start looking at baby items.

You’ll definitely want to have your registry set up as you get close to your baby shower since people will want to shop for you.

WHERE’S THE BEST PLACE TO REGISTER?

There’s tons of stores that have baby registries but for simplicity I’d recommend using Amazon.com or Target. Amazon is the #1 place for online shopping and they have a dedicated place to set up your baby registry. Target, because some people prefer going into a store rather than buying online. Check out my article, The Best Places to Create Your Baby Registry, that breaks down the most popular places to register for your baby.
